Neanders play politics with our health and future - in the House, Nov. 22.

(Hansard, Nov. 22, 2007, emphasis mine)
Mr. David McGuinty: for the first time in 15 years, the Minister of the Environment has told industry associations, environmental NGOs, labour groups and opposition critics that they have been kicked off the official Canadian delegation 10 days before the start of United Nations climate change meetings in Indonesia.

Is this because six independent research groups have concluded that the government's climate change plan and targets are a farce and that nobody believes them? Or is it because the minister has no plan for Bali, has now isolated Canada in these negotiations and is desperately trying to hide these facts from everyday Canadians?

A valid question, which the Minister of Schoolyard Bullying answers -

John Baird: we see the member for Ottawa South, the official spokesman for the Liberal Party on the environment. Do we know how many days it has been since he stood up and asked a question of me as Minister of the Environment? It has been 160 days. And what is his question? Why can I not come on that nice trip?

Mr. David McGuinty: the government's tradition for the past 15 years has been to reach out to industry and non-governmental stakeholders, inviting them to take part in Canadian delegations to the UN. Canada has always favoured cooperation and mutual aid. However, this government is now suppressing all opposing views. Given that the next Australian government will ratify the Kyoto protocol, what secret agreement does the government intend to negotiate with the Republicans in the United States, the only partner it has left?

Johnny again dodges the question by contradicting his party’s stance on the Liberals abstaining from votes. The CONs usual statement is that the Libs supported the Throne Speech because they didn’t vote against it, but that doesn’t seem convenient to Baird as he searches the barren landscape of his mind for an answer -

John Baird: the member for Ottawa South and members of the Liberal Party had their chance to stand up for the environment, but when the House of Commons voted on the throne speech that gave the government a mandate to govern and a mandate on an environmental policy, the Liberals and that member were nowhere to be seen. They abstained.

Decisions in this country are taken by people who show up and vote.

Yes, Johnny boy. That’s why it’s important that those we vote for and elect are included in meetings as monumentally important as the United Nations climate change meetings in Indonesia. That is also why you should answer questions made my these members we voted for, and why you should tell the truth instead of dodging answers by diverting the question to partisan statements. Voters need to be informed to make decisions.

Duceppe recognizes the vacuum that calls itself Environment Minister -

Mr. Gilles Duceppe: his colleague, the Minister of Justice, is currently taking aim at identity theft. The justice minister should be aware that the most serious identity theft in Canada has been committed by the Minister of the Environment, who is trying to pass himself off as the Minister of the Environment, when he is really the minister of pollution and the minister of oil companies.

He does not want opposition members in Bali because he does not want his true identity to be revealed. He has nothing to do with the environment; he is the oil companies' man.

So feeble is the Neandercon’s stance on climate change that they try to muzzle everyone, including elected officials from the opposition, environmental groups, and labour groups. You know, voters.

Those destructive bastards. How do we light a fire under them to work with the rest of the world on global warming instead of clinging to losers like Howard and Bush?

The David Suzuki Foundation has a blog by its people who are at Bali:

So at least one Canadian NGO is going to be there in spite of Baird; I daresay others may be too.

And the Commonwealth nations are pushing Harper in Uganda:

thanks, Holly. We know Steve's a monumental prick, but damn, reading this latest - holding things up in Bali - what a kick in the gut to Canada. I don't think anything can make him take real action on the environment. The only thing to do is spread awareness and vote the bastard out. Unbelievable! What a pompous jerk to think he knows better than all the scientists, specialists, and far more experienced politicians than himself.
